Hey folks! This is Mike and Tom from Pacific One Collision and Restoration.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from you all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"Does Pacific One repair bad rear end collision damage? | Body Shop Federal Way, WA"

Answer:

Yes, technically anything can be fixed after a bad rear-end collision. That part is absolutely true. The real question isn’t whether it can be fixed, but whether it makes sense from a cost standpoint. From an insurance perspective, companies typically want to spend only about 70 to 80 percent of the vehicle’s actual cash value. Once repairs exceed that threshold, the vehicle is usually declared a total loss.

That said, even if a car is deemed a total loss by insurance standards, it can still be repaired if the customer wants to move forward and is willing to exceed the vehicle’s value. We’ve done that before. It really comes down to reviewing the situation, understanding what the insurance company is willing to authorize, and determining what makes the most sense for the customer financially and practically.

Summary:

Severely damaged vehicles can often be repaired, but feasibility depends on repair cost versus vehicle value. Pacific One evaluates each situation with the customer and insurance company to determine the best path forward.
